:dunno: Why suspend the 180 days in jail? Prosecute to the fullest extent possible.

At least they received the full fine. I wish they'd both been dinged for it instead of between them.

Well, watch out for the son, he will still be hunting this year...
Why dont they treat them as examples, and give them everything they can? What a waste of a trophy elk.

its actually jory the son that got the three years suspension, dad only got fined. reguardless, they got them by the balls with the evidence, snip them, dont know all the facts but if its a cut & dried case & blatent disreguard of the regs they should bolth loose thier hunting rights, period. no-bench probation-. kind of sounds like kid screwed up & dad helped cover up,hence the aiding violation?

i really hate reading these posts & not haveing all the info.

I think the penalty is reasonable. There was no evidence that they were professional poachers and it seems to be a one off thing. $15000 is a heck of a lot of money. Probation etc. If they screw up again they go to jail for 180 days. They will live under a microscope. If they had freezers full of illegal game then I would vote for castration.

Makes me sick.
