Title: Fishing out of astoria?
Post by: huntnnw on May 22, 2011, 01:24:22 PM: Well my brother moved away last month.... he now lives in Warrenington and also has a 26 foot boat... Question for anyone with knowledge of area when does it get good for salmon in area..my guess was August when the fall run begins to show up in Columbia... this is a completely new to us and feels like starting over in a way. Any tips or techniques for some newbies? Thanks

July the slivers are out in the ocean and the charter boats are usually on them
August Kings and silvers are in the river as well as in the ocean
September silver fishing can be fantastic
Crabbing is really good down there as well!
