On my cam check today I noticed a little activity on the trail going in but most of it was deer sign. As I go up to the Wildview I saw a pile of bear crap about a foot in front of the camera and I was hoping for some great photos since the camera indicated there were 21 pics.
As I was got closer I spotted a larger pile of bear crap less than 5 yards behind the camera. Upon further investigation I found that the bears had cleared out two new beds and had apparently stayed there for a couple days.
Red arrows are pointing at poo.

Yellow arrows are pointing at the beds.

It was looking like a good possibility for some great photos.
But it was not to be. I got numerous photos of deer, a couple blanks & washouts and the top of a bear’s head.

I did get a few videos on another cam of them on grass as well as some video of them investigating another one of their beds farther up creek.

do you have any more pics? you indicated that multiple bears had stayed there for a couple days and would be cool to see the pics with the cam you had set up in the area.

According to the pics/videos that I was able to get, the bears were here from 4:44 pm on the 24th until 8:29 am on the 26th.
Here are a couple more pics of the area around the beds. Notice the varying size and age of the piles.

These were taken about 40 yards from the new beds. The bears had to go past the Wildview to feed (and be caught by the Bushnell) but they obviously didn’t take the closest trail.
They fed out here off and on over the course of their stay.

The last morning they were there one of the cubs decided to investigate the camera and scratch his back on the surrounding brush, which canted the camera. I am not sure what happened after that but in the video the closest bear does not show again and the farthest one stands up and looks in the cameras direction before bolting to the right.

There are a few pics (video stills) from the other another cam 150 yards away posted at the link below since they are updates to that bear bed thread. The bears show up at 8:29 am after tilting the camera above at 8:07 am and only stayed about 7 minutes.
