Title: mineral block ???
Post by: 300winmag on June 02, 2011, 11:09:52 AM
Do you guys use the mineral block  with you cameras . I have a area with several good peels and was wondering if that's what i should place with my camera to get some pic of this bear to see how big it is.I have only been hunting these guys hard for the last couple years and still not really sure what I'm doing . Any tips would be great.

A mineral lick would be baiting you could bait to get pictures of the bear but if you hunt the area after you have baited it might not be a great idea.  :twocents:

I have gotten a few bear pics when baiting deer with a mineral block. They seem to check it out a bit but never return for the salt.

What D-Rock said. You will get bears to your various blocks but no baiting/hunting.
