Title: Columbia river estuary sturgeon reports
Post by: aceseal on June 05, 2011, 08:57:56 PM
Well me and the boys are heading out for our annual sturgeon trip where we stay in Warrenton.  Have heard the water is high but am not seeing any reports.  If you have some info for me that would be great.  We make this trip once a year and have a good time we fish hard and any information you could lend would not be passed on to others.  We will be fishing June 9 10 11 12.  Give me some ideas if you think we would be better off in a different spot we are coming for washington 40 minutes north of Everett.  We are open to anything so if you want to pm me that would be great or just general discussion great to.  If you are in the area we would love to buy you dinner and favorite beverage for some good reports or good fishing. Thanks for now.

Water has been changing a lot. The dams are open a lot and the water is ripping up here in our area. Wish I could be more help but don't know the area you will be fishing. Good luck to you on your trip.

Friday one charter had 2. Next day opted to bottom fish. No Anchovies yet either. A few boats fishing all weekend but I heard of none caught in private boats.

I don't think i would waste the gas. The river has been over flood stage for a few weeks and I think it's holding the bait fish out in the ocean.

Fishing has been good in Port Susan lately, and I've heard that the Skagit has been pumping out a few. If you're 40 mins North of Everett, I'd look at those two options before I'd run down to the big Muddy C. If you're camping you could camp right at Kayak Pt and launch there also. PM me if you are interested. I could run down to the camp ground and give you some pointers. I live about 20 minutes from there.

Heres the last few fish we've taken in Port Susan. A 45" keeper, and 3 oversize fish. The largest was 73"

Great pics!
@ Ripper - Looks almost like an Orange County day on the water. Well...the air quality is much better in your photos than down south.

When I came off the water Sunday the temp gauge in my truck read 84. It felt like a SoCal day.
