Mine are working ok for me. There are things I don't like. The biggest being that the flash has very limited range. The night pictures very often are so dark that you either see nothing, or at best you might see the eyes glowing and that's it. I did get some decent night pictures but the deer have to be within about 10 feet. One thing that is annoying is you cannot turn the power off. You're supposed to hold the power button down to turn them off, but it doesn't work. Instead, after a few seconds, the camera just goes to sleep, and then as soon as you move it, it takes a picture. There is a way around this- I just pull one of the batteries back a bit so it's not making contact at one end. One more thing I don't like is that there is no way of knowing the condition of the batteries.
But other than that they do work pretty well. I definitely would not pay more than $40.

I got mine for christmas and have only had to change the batterys once, for the money its well worth it, ditto on the night-time photos, but I set mine up to take close-ups and have been supprised by the quality.

I am looking at paying about 40 a piece. I will be putting them on public land so I am not sure about a more expensive camera and if these work it sounds like the way to go. thanks for the input.

The only other camera I've found that you can get for as cheap as the Tasco is some of the Wildview's, and this is on ebay. I've got one out now, haven't got pictures of game with it yet, but I'll be checking it within a couple of days. I paid around $27 for it. I just got another one for $30 on ebay, but haven't received it in the mail yet. It's a 5.0 megapixel, the one I already have is only 0.3 mp.
To me the cheaper the camera the better, because I want to have multiple cameras out at one time. One or two just isn't enough. Plus, the fact that they could be ripped off at any time, I like only spending $40 or less.
