Just curious as to what you guys think of the new Truth 2. Good and bad opinions greatly appreciated. Thanks.

shot it and loved it. not really a fan of how the string dampeners are curvered but they get the job done.

I shot one when shopping around for a new bow. It was probably the best shooting bow for the price. Have you had a chance to shoot one, if not you should go to a proshop and get one in your hands. Nice bows IMO, great price too.

I've never shot it, but have held it a couple times at Cabela's.  Didn't care for the grip, and for me then there is no reason to even shoot it.  Just didn't like the way it felt in MY hand.  What truly matters however is how it feels in YOUR hand.

I was looking at them and was real Impressed! I ended up buying the Bear Element instead because I got a real insane price on it and I'm very happy with it, mine shoots 304 fps and shoots very flat (my first pin works for 10-20 yard and there is very little distance between my other pins. I have not found one person that does not like the new bear bows personally that has actually shot one. They have really come full circle in quality and price.  :IBCOOL:

IMO The bear bows are hard to beat. You get near 320 fps with the Truth 2 and they can be purchased for half the price of a Mathews, Ross or other comparible bow. No Brainer to me dude :dunno:

I considered both the Truth and the Truth 2 when I was shopping.  They both shoot nice, but I got some shock from the Original Truth and as stated earlier, the Truth 2 grip and the way it held just dod not feel right.  I suppose I would get used to it, but the Bengal felt better from the start, and with the new STS on it, shoots with no recoil whatsoever.  Price was cheaper than the Truth 2 as well for the same speed and Martin quality, which seems pretty good to me so far, and their support is top notch.

i shoot recurves, but a pal was buying a bow earlier. he shot it and while it was accurate for him,, he said it shocked his hand too much.. he ended up with a bear lights out.. he is happy.. it's also quite cheaper.

Well ill tell you i just got a truth 2 yesterday and it freaking rocks.....went out and got a new limbsaver mod stabilizer for it at sportsmans, and set it up with a gametaker fall away rest, put a 5 pin copper john dead nuts sight on it and BAMM! deadly......

i personally am a big grip person also but i got a good deal on the bow itself and so i said i would try it, i have shot it all day today of and on and i like it alot.....doesnt hur my hand, pretty quiet for not having anyother sims gear on it. and well im already after having the bow for one day shooting arrows on top of arrows......i could hear the arrows sliding next to eachother when the hit the target......make that sshhhhhhhhhh sound.

Overall, the bow comes with a life time warrenty string. has a high IBO. good sound dampening and honestly the grip isnt a problem for me......thought it would be but the bow just shoots to good....

It helps that you are an Amazon, Jay!  That grip should fit your hand fine.  Glad you are liking it.  It is still a bow I would like to have.

Compared to my short, fat ass, you are ginaormous!

I saw your other post about equipment.  I have the same Sims stabilizer, but I never use it much anymore.  It adds a lot of weight, but it does work.  I think the additional Sims items work great too.   I reccomend them.

 :dunno:
I shot the truth 2 at sportman's a few weeks ago...felt dang sweet for the price. I liked the grip and didn't feel much/any handshock....

I cheaped out and got a Lights Out! though...little shorter, a bit slower, but darn near as quiet and smooth. Doesn't hurt that I got it BRAND NEW for $263, either!!!

Fred Bear has really come around these past few years.
The element was one of the top selling bows last year (of all makers) and the Lights Out! is keeping the tradition this year. For the price, it's unlikely you'll get better performance with anything else. JMHO.

For what it is worth I purchased a Bear Instinct earlier this year.  I'm no expert but of the few bows I've shot I liked it the best.  The Instinct is considered a lesser bow to the Truth so I'm guessing that the Truth II will be very nice.

Yep, I have been shooting my Truth 2 for a few months now and I am loving it. I bought a stabilizer for it, but I don't use it. The bow shoots great without one, so I don't pack the extra weight. I'm hoping to put something on the ground with it this evening. Oh, and I only paid $274 for the Truth 2 brand new  :P

When I worked at Joes....

Bear has a program where if you work at a Bear dealer you can get one bow at that kind of rediculous price and then you can also get all the Trophy Ridge accessories for it (since they are sister companies or whatever). So, before arrows, I was into my bow just over $400.

talk about a steller deal, special for such a smooth shooting bow.....

have you heard about the warrenty the bow strings have on them?

I believe that the truth 2 and other bear bows come with winner choice strings... so they would have the winners choice warranty, which I think is guaranteed for a year.
