Anybody getting tired of the emails from Outdoor Central? I received 4 different notices to check for drawing results for Antlerless Elk, 4 for Master Hunter elk, 3 for Quality Deer, .. list goes on and on. There is obviously a glitch in their notification system. My son and I drew nothing this year so maybe this is Outdoor Central's way to rub a little more salt in the wound.
I am saving all of the emails as examples to "help" WDFW make the system a little more friendly.

yep, been getting them all day :bash:
-
I only got 2 emails. Both telling me to go check on the results for Quality deer. I don't really mind......I'd rather get 2 notices than the usual of zero.
-
I am at 31 notices so far. Never got notices in the past.
-
Dont check the email me box, you can just check the site every 10 mins like me :chuckle:
-
8 annoying notices blowing up my phone all day! :bash:
-
you guys are the one signing up for the emails :bash:

I've been getting two of each email, for some, and just one for others. And they come in sporadically. Got a few yesterday, more this morning, and more this afternoon and evening. No rhyme or reason to it. When I check the box that says I want to get results by email, I am expecting an email that says: you are SUCCESSFUL and you drew an Any Moose permit for such and such unit. Or UNSUCCESSFUL if that's the case. I don't need an email that just says go here for results.

For my 2 sons and I, I'm up to 17 notices and 0 tags. I sent a nasty gram to the WDFW and told them to stop rubbing it in

Not a good idea! You're now on their "don't ever draw this guy" list. :yike:
-
My computer is convinced it is junk mail and will not even send the email to junk it just deletes it. It is not on my block list. Does the AI in the computer know more than me?
-
maybe their sending notices for every time you checked to see if the draw was up yet. :dunno:

:yeah:
Contrary to popular belief, it's not a perfect world. If you don't want the emails, don't click the box that says to email you when the results come out next time.
Seems like an easy enough concept to me.

And to think it wasn't to long ago people were bitching about not getting the E-mails. :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Bobcat, exactly my point and well said. I have no problem with the email notifications and glad they are doing it. I just now have 37 emails telling me to go check my results on line. Been making my android buzz every 20 minutes or so. I keep thinking it is a redraw!
-
shoot you dont even need to get emails from 'em....I found out on here the results were avl. long before I got my first wdfw email
-
Next year, I'll just ask for an email from one draw. That's all you'll need to know the computer did (or didn't) do its thing and you can check.
My first email, ironically, was for the tag I drew (Second Deer).
-
I just got another email, for the Quality elk, at 9:24 PM.
Next year I won't request any email notification.
-
I'm getting doubles now...23 and counting
-
How many times do you need to be told you're out of luck, to know you're out of luck? :dunno:
-
I was told that folks are getting 1 e-mail per application. Next time around they promised to use a different system so only one e-mail per e-mail address would be sent.
