Title: Horn Growth (pics Added)

I was just wondering how much horn a bull grow from now untill the velvet is shed. Me and the boy found a nice bull yesterday one of the biggest so far this year. I will post a picture later.

Send me its GPS coordinates so I can go take a look at him and give you a good estimate  :chuckle:  Good question, I'll be curious to see what people have to say.  My guess is that they will grow quite a bit more though.

The closest I can get you is above the lake and below the moutain.

I have read that an elk can grow up to 1-2 inches on each antler per day during their peak growth. If they are anything like whitetail the growth starts slowing a month before they shed their velvet.

Oh ok I think I know where thats at!  Ahhh NW trek, love that place!  Man I can't wait for Sept 6th to get here, doesn't hurt that I have a White River tag either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be honest the bull I seen is not in NWT but not far from there and safe from me. Handcock I will post a pic later today.

Its Hancock!  hahaha Yea I've already found a few pigs up there this year!  My dads buddy drew an elk tag in their, lucky SOB!

So how big was the bull compared to the trek bulls? Id like to think that the horn growth should be some what close to them on a nice bull.

Going to be STELLAR growth this year with how green it is.
