I am new to this site and apologize for probably putting the Taxidermy Exposition announcement in the wrong section to start off. I suspect that when you see Taxidermy Exposition you will read it anyway, so here are some addition details.
The event planned for January 12-15, 2012 is expected to be a large event (300 plus entries) with taxidermists from across the United States and Canada. We have commitments from over 38 vendors including all the major suppliers, tanneries and associated folks. Our judges are world champion taxidermists as are our seminar instructors. To miss this opportunity so close to home would be a shame. If you have never been to a major show/competition this is a great chance.
On another note, this event will need lots of special assistants for backboards, mount entries and the like. If you can and are willing to help, please contact me at lewiswildlifeart@q.com or call me at 509-995-6299
You can read more about the United Taxidermist Association by going to our web site www.utataxidermy.com (http://www.utataxidermy.com).
Thanks
Craig Lewis, Chairman
United Taxodermist Association

I should have paid more attention to the topics - this is the first time I have been on this forum - if you go to the waterfowl area you can read more of the specifics or email me at lewiswildlifeart@q.com This is going to be a great event with hopefully lots of people. There will be more advertising and flyers through the suppliers in the coming months. We are hoping it will become equilivant to the World Taxidermy event by having it in opposite years. Please spread the word and mark your calenders. Get those competition pieces ready.
