Ok I am being kind of anal retentive here, but i am concerned that there wont be much for rutting activity this late in the season. My archery tag is for the second week of october..... The WDFW site doesnt show any success for the archery bull tag on its season summaries. has anyone been successful up there? do you hear much for bugling this late? will the super cool wet spring push back the rut? Thanks for any advice you may have.

i hunted near there last year in october. we did lots of scouting throughout the summer. however it did seem like the tail end of the rut by the time the permit started mid to late oct. Bulls were still with a few cows. But there were bulls by themselves. I don't beleive rut activity is real cut and dry as far dates. You may get real lucky. I suggest scouting as much as possible and pay attention to how the wind changes from the early morning to the afternoon. I understyand you excitement cool area, very unique. good luck!
