anyone been up lately? wanna take my 4 year old daughter and 6 nieces (13, 12, 9, 9, 7, 5 :yike: ) fishing. it wouldnt JUST be me with 7 girls :bdid: i'd take my dad, uncle and maybe the girls dad if he's not busy.
any fish left in the lakes?

Report says blue lake was stocked on the 9th. I am sure there will still be fish in there. If interested I have a little trick to catch the fish in those lakes that are "power bait" trained

always interested! (though i've never used PB in my life...)

I use a slip sinker, even fairly heavy(longer casts) above a swivel and a bead. use about a 3ft leader from the swivel to the hook. Get nightcrawlers and pinch them in half and thread the open end onto the hook leaving about an inch of the worm hanging off the hook. Then take a syringe (from the local feed store) and shoot some air into the worm so he floats up off the sinker. If you leave some slack in the line as it sits the fish can pick it up and wont feel the weight and kids can watch the line go out on the bite. :twocents:

thanks 'chuck! i'll add some worms to my repertoire along with the Pautzke Balls O Fire!

No sweat man, good luck with all those girls

Just my :twocents: but I like the power eggs better than power bait. Less messy.

How did it go?
