I would go with the sx3 or the maxus. Both are super guns and run great! I am not a benelli fan myself but have shot many brownings and winchester and own one of each brand

just about all are good, just depends on whats confortable. as far as 3.5", i used to think that it would improve my shooting and kill ratio, it doesnt, i shoot 3", just buy better quality. have taken big canadas with em at 40 yrds easy. nice to have the option, but like anything else, its shooting ability. think the vinci only goes up to 3" maybe im wrong tho.

They are all fairly goog guns.  I would have the gun shop lay the various ones on the counter and shoulder them and pick the one that fits best.  You want to pick one that fits good.  I have the SBEII, Beretta Extrema II, SX2.  All seem to be good guns.

thank you for the info guys! im goin to go to a couple of shops and pic them up and see which one feels best to me... i have heard great things about all the new semi autos... and btw benelli now has a "supervinci" that is alomst the same as their vinci but can handle 3.5" shells also.

I bought a Maxus last year for a trip up to Canada for geese and it didn't have a single hang up.  I never cleaned it once up there and we ended up shooting a ton.  I also own a SBE, one of the originals and I love that gun too...both "fit" me well so I would go with what feels right.  The SX3 has the same action as the Maxus and is a little cheaper.

Go with a Beretta over all a better gun; I've dumed every Benelli because of recoil. As for SX versions on Brownings and Winchesters mine have craped out at 500 rounds. My SX2 Sporting Clays did not last that long it gave up the goast at 300 rounds.  :twocents:

If you go with the bolt you can buy more expensive shells as you won't be shooting them to fast.   :chuckle:

I'd go with the maxus. my dad has it and he loves it, every time I've used it I've like it. It'll probably be the next shotgun I go out and buy  :twocents:

Shotguns are so much about body build.  Don't go just by feel, swing them at a small target and have a buddy look over your shoulder and see if you keep landing on target.  Some have the ability to change cast-on, cast-off and drop at heal others don't.

In my early days I bought Browning Citori doubles.  None of them ever hit where I was aiming.  We bent barrels and applied putty to the beautiful wood stocks to make 'em shoot like champs.  I finally found that Beretta doubles were just right for me even without shims, putty or bent barrels.

They are all darn good proven guns.  Find the one that shoots where you are looking or has the ability to get there.  I don't think you will be disappointed with any of them if the one you chose kills the bird your aiming at.

if you can get some friends together that have various options you should go out and actually shoot some of those options ... Benelli makes good guns for a lot of people...I just cant seem to hit anything with my dads SBE ...Remingtons all seem to shoulder well for me and have a great feel to them ....Brownings do too, but its all about the person...i am 6' 2" 185 ...which is pretty averagely tall-ish...    my best advise is to go shoot'n ...good luck in your hunt for an awsm gun
