Title: boys and clammin/hood canal
Post by: kramman on June 27, 2011, 04:24:58 PM: I will be in shelton later this week with 5 -10 yr. old boys weather maybe iffy.Thinkin about takin them to the canal for some little neck and manilla clams.Looked on wdfw website thought I would possibly go to Potlach st. park. This a good place for clams anybody know? A little help would be appreciated. thanks kram and sons

There are a lot of people that frequent this area so sometimes picking are on the slim side (compared to my secret spots) but I think you guys will enjoy it. I agree with KNOPHISH the area south of the main public area is better just looks at the maps there or ask a Warden if they are there, that's what I did.

Post by: kramman on July 01, 2011, 10:22:11 PM: Well we went down to potlatch st. park thurs. am.walked south along the beach to almost thepower lines and we really hit the jackpot we had a great time most everyone was right at the parkin area and we ended up with more clams then I could eat.Kids had a great time and we were all muddy and dirty. I would definetely recommended it.
