....of quail are off.   Sure cute little snappers.

Not sure what happened out here near Liberty Lake, but we haven't seen a pair of quail (or a single quail for that matter) with young ones in over 2 weeks.  Not a single one.  I'm hoping that there are just a lot of local predators making easy pickings of them along the Centennial trail out here and that this scenario isn't replicating itself in the wild

They're doing good in the Wenas and Yakima area

saw three yotes off the north side of the centenial trail today crossing euclid. they are lucky i didn't have my bow( know the farmer's field they jumped into). but just down from their I have seen a bunch.
