Got the word from Bruce at the NTA western that the WSTA Rondy will be in Omak , WA. Ralph went over last weekend and I think they got the food issues resolved. Its the 26th,27th,and 28th of august. I'll be there!

I plan on checking it out. sounds like a nice 3 day weekend or 4. What's to be expected? learning stuff for sale or eq. to look at I hope so. Is there reservation or sign up. Well maybe my aligatior fingers over road my bumble bee mind I have a wedding scheduled on August 27 in Felony Way :'(

Don't know what the schedule is but there will be domos, dealers selling stuff, plus I think the WSTA will be selling some of George Sovies supplies he left to the WSTA. Plus alot of sitting around talking with friends.

Does anyone have the information for camping or hotel/motel for the rondy? What type of a facility is it being held at?It is getting close and the only info is the date and town that i have seen.

Tentative Schedule
Friday: I figured people can use this afternoon/eve to look around the grounds, set up, and visit. Potluck. Campfire- Bob Maier.
Sat.: 0900-1100 Mike Monroe/Bernie Nelson : Bobcat skinning and pelt put-up/ Coyote skinning and pelt put-up with feet.
0830-1200 George Brady: Trapper training class.
1100-1115 Break
1115-1200 will be done by a retired Alaska Fish and wildlife person,Ed Crain who now lives in Wallla Walla. Did alot of wolf work in Alaska, should be a good talk.
1300-1400 George Brady: Suitcase trap Beaver trapping.
1400-1500 George Brady: Trapper training instructor class (mandatory for new instructors)
1400-1430 Break
1430-1530 Dave Vinke: Muskrat trapping.
1530-1630 Bernie Nelson: Bobcat cage trapping.
1630-1730 John Consolini: Coyote trapping.
1730-1800 Lydia Consolini: Fur fashion show.
Dinner, auction, followed by:
Bob Maier: Camp fire, bring your stories of George and Denny.
Sunday
0900-1000 Bruce Vandervort: Beaver pelt put up.
1000-1100 George Brady: Discussion: The do's and don'ts of a field contact with F&W officers.

Had a great time yesterday. Sorry I missed Mr. Crain's presentation, but Bernie Nelson's bobcat cage trapping was a great presentation. I ended up spending $400 in the auction. Got a new hancock trap for $305, wohoo. Great time!!
