I've hunted this one time and one time only during modern firearm season. Witnessed 2 fistfights, bullets whizzing every which direction, and more orange than a Greenbluff pumpkin patch. I always have a good time yote hunting out there, and pass shooting divers and geese as they zip between the 2 lakes in late December can be an absolute blast (so long as the lakes aren't frozen yet).
I've got me a muzzleloader tag this year, and as frustrated as I was seeing what happened during modern season out there - I am seriously considering being there opening weekend this year. There are good deer out there, a LOT of land, and I've got my heart set on a muley spot and stalk for the opener this year.
Anyone have any experience out there during muzzleloader season? Thanks for any info you may have.

Well I can't help ya with the hunting info. However I do know that the Twin Lakes area is becoming quite the problem area for BLM Law Enforcement and the Sheriff's Dept.

I have not hunted deer out there yet but have talked to Julie Andersen the manager of the wildlife area about that subject. PM sent.

I know this is an old topic but I figured I'd rather post in this than start another topic about the same subject...
If anyone knows from this thread (or any) about how this area is in the late muzzle loader season I would definitely like to know, I'm not looking to watch or participate in a circus - which it sounds like this is the area that resembles just that during modern rifle season.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Again I'd very much rather NOT hunt around what this has sounded like in other threads..
