I am still looking for any GOOD advice for best options at filling a Muzzy cow tag for West Klickitat. I have never even been in this area so I am open to any advice. I would love to find someone with Private land that they would be willing to allow a hunter an oppourtunity on. Anyway I really would appreciate all the info that anyone would be willing to share. Hunt hard and be Safe.

Nice people , I hate cell phones lol

Not a lot of elk on public ground down there. Try driving up the Glennwood grade out of BZ Corners and find a gate and start walking. Also Diamond Gap is a place that holds elk that time of year. Best thing you can do is start scouting now because all that area is a zoo come Muzzy season. A buddy of mine drew that tag this year too but we called him in a nice 5 point opening day of the early season. Needless to say he wont be hunting for a cow now.

I have recieved some good info so far but I really can use all the help i can get. Is there any land that a person can pay a lease for a weekend to hunt or private land that farmers will allow access on. Any info you are willing to share I am all ears. Thanks in advance

Don't fire fighters get a ton of time off? The ones that I know get more time off than most...

Well were about a week away and I am getting prepared to head to the trout lake area for my Cow Tag Hunt. I am hoping that with the snow falling everywhere my odds are getting better. I was hoping that some of you may still share a little advice with me and maybe some good locations. I really would appreciate any help.

The snow will help for sure

I shot a nice cow 2 years ago on the northeast side of the unit about 2 miles south of the 560 gmu. Lots of clearcuts on the north end of the unit bordering the Gifford/Pinot NF. When the snow comes its pretty easy to catch them transiting between thickets. I was out there Monday and they were logging a bit, but I imagine the snow will put an end to that. Good luck and be sure to stop in and say hi to Andy.

Headed out in am I could still use any last minute pointers. Also if anyone is hunting the area and doesnt mind someone setting up a tent nearby let me know. I will be in the area around 2ish tommorrow. I appreciate all the help, I hate being a virgin to an area but it is what it is.
