Title: stump likker
Post by: buglebuster on July 04, 2011, 10:30:09 PM: Have any of you guys used it to bait your trail cam? I just ordered a couple jugs and wondered if you guys have had any luck with it and elk... thanks!

Post by: Special T on July 05, 2011, 10:43:16 AM: I tries the molasis one on a rotten stump... elk liked it deer did not... I have used deer cane and that worked on BT... I usually just use salt loose from the feed store. :twocents:

I use stump lick, mineral rocks, salt licks, wet cob, deer cane reg. and black magic, corn, and NOTHING will ever work as well as fruit apples, pears, plums etc.

Post by: huntnnw on July 05, 2011, 08:21:01 PM: I have used it in new spots in conjunction with salt to get them to salt faster ... I just started a spot 30 days ago and dumped it over a rotten stump. Checking cam this weekend see how they tore up stump or bears :chuckle:

Apple mineral drip. Don't remember the name, bought it at Walmart. They liked it, but a bear ate it like it was a jolly rancher.

Can't the bears reach higher then deer????? Or even climb to get it..... :dunno: I don't have elk in our area... Just deer and bear....

It drips therefore the elk don't need to reach it. They lick the ground like a regular mineral site.

Post by: Grazer on July 12, 2011, 04:26:27 PM: Poured it on a stump and the surrounding brush and in less than 24 hours I returned and spooked a 5 point bull as he was licking the stump. Great stuff, have another jug waiting.
