Have any of you guys used it to bait your trail cam? I just ordered a couple jugs and wondered if you guys have had any luck with it and elk... thanks!
-
Haven't tried it. Salt works good for me. Let us know how it turns out!
-
SALT, SALT and more SALT!!!! It works and its cheap. :twocents:
-
Pour it on a rotten stump and they will eat the whole thing.
-
I tries the molasis one on a rotten stump... elk liked it deer did not... I have used deer cane and that worked on BT... I usually just use salt loose from the feed store. :twocents:
-
I have salt in front of it right now but when I grab it on Aug.1st I'm going to move it to a different area and try the stump stuff. I may use salt to if they like it that much.

Here is a before and after photo. The stump is in the middle of the picture just behind the tree. That is from last year and they are still eating on it this year and we haven't put anything on it.

Mineral rocks from Warehouse sports works the best for me on Elk & Deer.
-
theres a mix out there called team lost creek. i have 15 lbs of it at my house and getting ready to order 100 more for freinds. it has produce 1403 pictures in 6 days for me. i have witensses too, right stickinmaster

heres one laying in it

Never had alot of luck with it on the wet side. they'll eat it but not go crazy for it, they won't come back for it. I use stump lick, mineral rocks, salt licks, wet cob, deer cane reg. and black magic, corn, and NOTHING will ever work as well as fruit apples, pears, plums etc.
-
I have used it in new spots in conjunction with salt to get them to salt faster ... I just started a spot 30 days ago and dumped it over a rotten stump. Checking cam this weekend see how they tore up stump or bears :chuckle:
-
I had best luck with just apples from my trees! I tried that buck juice from cabelas and ever since the bears came in and the big bucks never came back! I wouldnt use that! :chuckle:

Apple mineral drip. Don't remember the name, bought it at Walmart. They liked it, but a bear ate it like it was a jolly rancher.

My friend and I just got some of those drip blocks from walmart last week.... We checked them yesterday..... 5 of them gone!!! We got 7 pics of deer licking them.... Then one bear ate them all!!!!!!!!!!

We learned after the first one to make sure it was high enough. The elk would lick it too.

It drips therefore the elk don't need to reach it. They lick the ground like a regular mineral site.

I'll try hanging a few higher.... But like you said.... The bear gobbled it up like a jolly rancher.... I'm sure they'll get them one way or another......

Poured it on a stump and the surrounding brush and in less than 24 hours I returned and spooked a 5 point bull as he was licking the stump. Great stuff, have another jug waiting.
