Do i need to get my 9 year old son a fishing license to go salmon fishing, if so same price as an adult?

you do not...15 years old and up need a license

Get him a free license so he has a catch record card.  He does have to have the CRC so he can record his fish.

Yup! I bring my little man out and ALMOST failed to do the above. It just didn't cross my mind until I was chatting with my brother and he mentioned it.

A free "Catch Record Card" is all that is needed.
