Title: Tucannon river, fly fishing near cow camp
Post by: denali on July 10, 2011, 09:20:46 PM
C&R four 8-11" Saturday evening - Sunday morning I caught 8, lost 4 more all between 8-11" all looked to be wild, no clipped adipose.

using hoppers as indicators with price nymphs drops, they only hit the nymphs could not figure out why no intrest in the hoppers then realized I had not seen any grasshoppers in the area yet, must be a very late year for grasshoppers.

Cool beans.
I usually fish a #14 pheasant tail bead head under a #12 elk hair caddis.  CoryTDF prefers a parachute adams on top.  Try those until the hoppers come out.  I usually don't have much luck with them until August. :twocents:
