Title: early entiat?
Post by: muleyslayer#1 on July 11, 2011, 02:55:48 PM: would it be good to go up to the entiat gmu for early archery because my brother wants a deer and if he gets one then i can get my elk.

Post by: muleracks2 on July 11, 2011, 06:53:05 PM: I won't hunt Entiat GMU 247. I would go on up river to one of the trailheads and harvest a doe or pack into the high country for a buck. Not that many local deer in GMU 247 or 250.

Post by: spin05 on July 12, 2011, 04:25:46 AM: Been there and done the early archery thing there. I hunted the spots i knew well wich were wintering areas.I dont recall seeing so much as a doe. Quit a few guys were road hunting for grouse with shotguns thou. I would get up as high as you can if possible.Maybe even try the chiwawa instead since its closer to the summer areas

No kidding! From telling someone its closed to telling them there's no local deer. If you don't want to share information, don't post anything.
