I live in Puyallup and is there any good places to bank fish the puget sound near home? I am thinking about pulling out my surf rod and putting on a pink buzz bomb and chuck it out as far as I can.
So does anyone have a spot they want to share or see people fishing from? PM me and I will keep it to myself.

Browns Point area for pinks is usually a hot spot, combat fishing though. I use to fly fish off the beach there.

I'll fish Kayak for pinks. Mornings are best. You have to buy a parking pass for the park but I think it must keep the crowds a little smaller.

I don't know about South Sound salt water fishing, but I have a buddy that fishes lots of places on the Puyallup River, the Green and Duamish. Up North you can try the beach in Mukilteo, Kayak Point or take the ferry over to Whidby Island and hit Bush Point, or Fort Casey. Fort Casey is one of my fav places to shore fish. There is a lot of room and the people out there are usually very friendly. Fishing will be fantastic this year.

since I live on the canal I hit the hoodsport hatchery quite often for pinks, it is a tidal issue though because there is not a lot of room and you need waders and to beat the high tide to get to a good spot. we use of kayaks now so we dont have to worry as much about beating the tide and being stuck. we throw pink jigs anywere from 1/16 10 1/4 once. we really like the aero jigs. be prepared though my daughter has hooked 3 kings will casting for pinks in that area. we anchor our kayaks outside the bouys around the hatchery area just out of reach of the bank guys (so we dont get it their way) and cast the jigs into area where the fish come in works pretty good.

Point no Point by Kingston, by the light house, you can wade out in the rip and cast over the dropoff. I use to fill a couple punch cards a year there from shore.
-
You can wade in at Redondo too or launch a kayak there...for FREE! No Discover Pass required

I don't that people are that excited about limits of humpy, but like you said EVERYONE can have fun catching them. Makes for an easy after work activity that you most likely wont get skunked at. Access is easy and close to home.

What about Chambers? anyone have any luck around Chambers Bay :dunno:
I have fished it for kings many years ago but never Pinks.

just east of shinanagans down on the water front towards the mouth of the puyallup there is a big old barge docked up well if you fish out in front of the bow you can stand on the rocks on the bank and catch pinks till your heart is content, and dont use a surf rod take a medium spinnin rod with little pink buzz bombs or take a silver bladed #4 bug boddied meps spinner and paint it pink and use 8lb test you can cast a country mile and its a blast
