Title: King County land in 454
Post by: AKBowman on July 13, 2011, 01:38:24 PM
If it is outside of city limits and not inside any of the unhuntable Seattle water sheds are you free to hunt it?

I know there are going to be firearm restrictions I will be archery hunting.

As long as it's public land and not one of my areas.  :IBCOOL:  Although county "Natural Areas" are off limits to hunting. Everything west of Hwy 18 is firearm restricted and there's a little area east of hwy 18 but you run into the CRWS pretty quickly. Hankcock has land down by Enumclaw and you can bike in without a permit.  Those are the main areas of 454. There is a state gate at the end of Kent-Kangley road requiring a 30-45 min hike up hill to get to a unit on top but I've not seen too many deer up there and I've been there a few times with fresh snow and didn't see many tracks. Happy hunting...I have a silver pathfinder so say hi if you ever see me.
