Title: Redondo
Post by: rgalanti21 on July 14, 2011, 11:17:05 PM
Has anyone noticed that the Sound in the redondo area is primarily full of red rock crabs? For some reason when I pull all my pots, it's mainly red rocks, with some female dungees mixed in. Any explanations or tips???

The crabs have been fished out. I am surprised there are still any red rock crabs left? Certain ethnic persuasions, take everything they catch, size does not matter.
Wait until squid are in season and you will see what I mean  :bash:

Re-dilhole is a horrible place to fish for anything but a boat wreck, that launch is a joke. I would drive up to Padilla area, you could even fish from shore in that area and do better than Redondo for Dungies. Not sure when it is open but should be anytime if not already. There are dungies off south Vashon, but I wouldn't touch them with a 10' pole as that area has the highest contaminated sediment content of the entire Sound.
