Went scouting with my family today, saw a colored mama with twin cubs (one black, one phase colored). Before we saw them we were watching the next contestant on he is going to get shot during bear season (about a 300# boar). They were only about 250 yards apart in the same logging unit. Oh and we saw quite a few grouse with good size broods (rough and blues). Man I love watching bears that don't know you are there.

Yeah, getting the chance to watch bears for any length of time when they dont know you are there is really cool.

That's awesome! I have spent A LOT of time in the woods and have only ever seen two bears. Neither were during hunting season at that. I really want to get one!!!

How lucky. We went out today for 6 hours calling and looking. Zero this time, shoot !!!!

If they could make it easier to up load videos I could show ya more bear than you will want to watch :chuckle: :chuckle: one year we had seven in one unit and last year we had 3 in one unit   i used to have many honey holes but they have been discovered over the years but I still have this one left and actually when I go anywhere near this area I park 1 1/2 miles away from it before hiking in :chuckle: :chuckle: thats how sacried this spot is ... :sry:

Yep, we are on the same page. I send people into the hell holes if they ask me where to go for bears. If they go they earned it, my easy sweet spots are kept secret.

Went back to check the honey hole today, it only got sweeter! Now I have another boar I believe (no cubs in view for 30 min.) that is Cinnamon colored actively staying below the larger black boar. Nither ever new I had come and gone. Mama bear and cubs didn't show today, oh well it was awesome to see to bears for the time that I chose to observe them. The Cinnamon bear is a way more aggressive eater than the other one (moves about more frantically in search of his vegetation) kinda of a weird observation. :cue:
