My first attempt with a trail camera turned out pretty good. Bought two cameras and this one picked up ~40 pics of a bear and cougar...not a bad start :chuckle:
-
Couple more
-
That cat sure won't help with the pictures of deer and elk. Especially if it's just going to sleep next to the cam. Nice pics though.
-
I had to laugh at these. :chuckle:
The second to last pic of the cat laying down was pretty awesome. He looks a little tired. :chuckle: Then the next pic is him sleeping, that is funny stuff. Nice looking cat.
-
Exceptional!!! Thanks
-
awesome, truly awesome

I like your spot.

I want to know where you get one of those salt blocks that puts the animals to sleep! :chuckle:

wow!!!! that's great .you had better watch your back when your out there. I'm envious, I have had two cams out for more than three years and never gotten A cougar on one. I did think i had a cougar on my trail camera once but it turned out to be a house cat, but before i figured that out I posted the picture on hunt wa.that it was a cougar. and the people on hunt wa. set me strait and told me it looked like a house cat.DUH!!! what a moron. they were right.
I've learned a lot from this sight, one thing is don't post a picture of a cat unless your positive what is ,especially bobcat. you guys that have been on here a while know what i mean :bash:
-
Drugging wildlife is unethical :nono: :chuckle: cool pics

Ive seen lots of cat pictures on TC's..but never laying down for a nap. Well if you see him during season...give him a big dirt nap in stiff stadium...take a pic...then do like those guys on TV do... show the pic of the cat lying down sleeping...then dead...in the same spot....awesome.
-
Is that the new rufie block?
-
Fine pics man. Good first start. I dont think I have collectively, 40 pics of bears on my cams...although, I never put out blocks...I need to start!
Good luck this season.

I have a question. I am not real familiar with trail cams. but how does the cougar not get spooked with the flash from the camera or was it one that has the infared flash or something.
-

It is a flash (Moultrie D55) camera, but I have had deer, elk, bear, and obviously now the cougar all stick around for multiple photos with the flash. I have become convinced that they really don't mind it as much as people think.
