Bobcat would be pretty much anywhere from the Methow to out in the desert, or even in the rocky areas around Yakima.  Fox is eastside in the Selkirks, but they are hard to come by.  Most are travellers out of Idaho I imagine.  I only got one this year.  I saw one in the Methow about 15 years ago, but I think that was a fluke.  Thats my .02.

I spent a good deal of time running my dogs on cougar this winter around Chewelah and over around Power Lake and there was a ton of bobcat sign pretty much every time I went out.  Fox are extremely rare on the eastside, there are some down around Goldendale and that area down there.

bobcats down on the snake river breaks are actuall huntable. trying to hunt cats in the woods is like trying to put out a fire with gasoline......if it all goes well it will work, but prolly not.

I have seen bobcats all over the woods here on the eastside, but when I want to shoot one, I drive the 2 hours down to the big river.

good luck.

bobcats are everywhere in the yakima valley, and south around the bickleton/goldendale area, i hunt cats every winter and i've killed 4 by tracking them down in the snow. i hunted around the yakima river a couple years back and counted 8 different sets of cat tracks within 5 miles of each other.
