when is a good time of the year to go shed hunting on the west side.

IMHO, dead of winter in the lowlands. Least vegetation to get in the way...

Ive found fresh blacktail sheds on december 15. Elk Ive found as early as mid febuary. I usually wait to hit it real hard until the end of march.

Didnt mean to hit quote on that last reply oops. You can still look for sheds this time of year if u are itching to go, icemans right tho the less brush the more successful you will be.
