Has anyone tried the hornady superformance for 7mm-08? I almost bought a box to try but thought I would ask the pros of hunt WA first.

Its all i shoot in mine as i dont reload. i shoot the SST for shots over 300 yards and the BTSP for everything under. taken alot of deer with it, and several by others wanting to use my gun instead of theres. very accurate for factory, you wont regret it. 3000 fps 140 gr, taken deer to 456 yrds with it.

I tried the 139gr SST Superformance in my 7MM-08 X-Bolt and it didn't shoot that great. It shot 1 1/2" at 100 yards. For prespective the cheap Winchester 130gr Super-X SP's shoot 7/8" of an inch in the same gun. I know that each gun likes different ammo so your gun might like it. The SST is a superb bullet however but, I'm not sold on the Superformance ammo.

that's kinda funny my gun shoots Remington core lokt better than some more expensive ammo.

im curious how close they actually shoot to the projected speeds listed.
i was gonna buy a box the other day, but went with the plain jane 150gr sst's instead of the superformance. i didnt feel the extra 200fps was worth the extra $3 :chuckle:
