Most reviews you read will say they're junk, but I have two and I like them, for the price. I've had one out for three months now, and the other one for two. They take really good daytime pictures. The biggest drawback would be the quality of the pictures you get at night, with the flash. The flash just doesn't have much range. I've found that if the animal is more than about 10 feet away, you won't see it at all. Battery life has been good. I'm using Rayovac D batteries from Wal Mart which are only $1 each. I haven't determined maximum battery life yet, because with the first one I put out, I changed out the batteries after a month. This is the other downside to these cameras is there's nothing to tell you how much life the batteries have left, like my Moultrie D40's do. Later I bought a good battery tester, and those batteries that I took out are still at 80%. The other camera I set up on 5/30 and the last time I checked it was 7/15 and the batteries were at 60%. I have both of them in locations where almost all of the deer activity is during the day though, so the flash isn't getting used. If it were, I am sure the batteries would be drained more quickly. But even then I would expect to get at least 6 weeks out of the batteries.

I'll post a couple of pictures here as examples. The night picture you can see that even though the deer is fairly close, the flash didn't light it up enough to see it very well.

I have two, they seem to take ok pictures, batteries last a couple months, don't have to worry about losing a lot of money if they get stolen. We disconnected the flash since they aren't infrared, but for the money I am satisfied.

I am thinking the batteries may last twice as long without the flash.

i dont have tasco but i have the bushnell sentry cheap one. i think it does great for the money. i paid 99 for mine but see bimart has them for 49 right now. gonna buy another one. they take decent night time pics. the only draw back is they dont take larger than a 1gb card which holds about 350 pics.  these links should take you to a couple. these are about 15-20 feet away

A limit of 350 pictures wouldn't be a problem for me. The most I've ever gotten is around 150. But I don't let them soak for more than three weeks at a time.

Oh, and by the way, those Bushnell Trail Sentry's are essentially Tascos, I guess. Because Bushnell and Tasco are the same company.

Scroll down a few pages, I have 3 threads and all the pics are tascos. I have gotten close to 400 pics of animals in 2 weeks on one camera.
