Went for a walk on the tree farm just south of my place today...found this on the road.

Wondering if this is a large 'yote or small bear? Thinking small bear, but....willing to learn...

The picture is a little small but I would say bear because of all of the seeds from berries. I could be wrong, but I don't think that coyotes eat berries. I am new to this bear hunting thing though. I went up scouting yesterday and saw some similar stuff. However I couldn't find anything on the trees or bushes that would even come close to having pits as big as they were. Your picture is small so it is hard to tell, but the scat that I saw looked a lot like that except that it was 90% berries with pits that had a little split down the middle and were sort of shaped like a small pistachio. Anybody know anything?

Picture is too small but coyotes will eat berries and fruit, they really seem to like plums.

To give an idea of scale, those aren't berry seeds, they are cherry pits...and there are no cherry trees in the tree farm (to my knowledge, anyway). Although, I have been told there is an old homestead in there somewhere...
