Title: Weekend Hike Pictures
Post by: Wea300mag on July 24, 2011, 06:19:15 PM: Here are a few hike pics from the weekend. I also hiked into Crater Lake in the Sawtooths but forgot my camera :bash:.

All the interesting critters were too far away to get good pics.

I just made a dayhike out of it. I had my daypack with 5 pints of water, a Mtn Dew, and my lunch. I ate lunch and drank the Mtn Dew at the lake and polished off the last bit of water just as I arrived back at the trailhead. As mentioned above, it's a pretty tough trail.

There is no water until you get back close to the lake, by then I was 3 bottles down. If I were staying overnight I would have went the purification route.
