Here are a few hike pics from the weekend. I also hiked into Crater Lake in the Sawtooths but forgot my camera :bash:.
All the interesting critters were too far away to get good pics.

Great shots, I have spent a lot of time in that country. Saw what me and a buddy are sure was a griz were that first pic was taken. Tough trail but very rewarding when you hit the ridge!

Great pictures, that brought back a bunch of memories. I packed hunters in all that country for a few years. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice. Looks like great country to be in. Did you just day hike in that area or backpack it in?

I just made a dayhike out of it. I had my daypack with 5 pints of water, a Mtn Dew, and my lunch. I ate lunch and drank the Mtn Dew at the lake and polished off the last bit of water just as I arrived back at the trailhead. As mentioned above, it's a pretty tough trail.

Yep thats a nice area. Know a couple people that were headed over to Upper and lower Eagle on the other side of the hill from there. I like to make a few trips over there since it opens earlier than the wet side.

Awesome photos!!!

Smart move to go to the east side for some hiking. Getting above 4,500' on the west side without hitting deep snow is nearly impossible.

There is no water until you get back close to the lake, by then I was 3 bottles down. If I were staying overnight I would have went the purification route.

Yeah.. I forgot about that... Take enough to get in, replentish at the lake. It's been a long time since I've been back that way.
