One the other boards that I lurk on just had a post with pics of a 410+ bull still in velvet taken in AZ. The guy has his hand wrapped around one of the antlers above the G3 and his fingers are 2-3" from touching.
From the sounds of things he's the AZ equivalent of Agnew. Guess he paid big bucks for the commissioner's tag.

that guy's killed at least a couple of absolute monster muleys also. I think one went over 300.
-
:yike: :crap: :puke: :whoo: would be the sequence of events if i shot that bull.
-
Nice bull but I have no respect whatsoever for anything touched by Mossback
-
Huge bull and What did Mossback do? idk just wondering
-
That is a hell of a nice bull!

most, and I'd say probably 99.999999% of other paid guides don't block off public roads on public ground, bully and threaten people off of public ground around where the target animal is, and use helicopters to steer the target animal towards the hunter.
-
what a monster 6x :yike:
-
hell of a bull thats for sure, i still dont understand why anyone in their right mind would want to shoot a bull of that caliber while he is still in velvet, if i read it correctly the guy had a whole year to whack a bull, so why wait till the animal is a few short weeks from being velvet free and in 90 degree plus heat to take a hell of an animal, i dont get it :dunno:

His name is Allen Hamberlin, He's a homebuilder down in AZ. That mule deer scored 322 off the strip a few years back. Go to www.azstriphunting.com (http://www.azstriphunting.com) you can see for yourself that monster buck.

Must be nice to kill a deer bigger then most peoples elk . I don't understand killing a bull in July. :dunno: Was he even done growing. They were saying he was not as big as last year. Let him finish growing before you kill him.
-
Dandy looking bull.
-
I'd probably shoot him.

why does it matter if he was done growing? the hunter was happy with 'only' 410 inches...
everyone gets so worked up over the biggest, baddest bull/buck. to each their own... this guys own was a velvet 410 inch bull!
-
That bull is done growing, probably would be rubbing his horns this week maybee next. Hell of a bull. Most big bulls are topped out now and will be shedding soon, saw a 5x5 the other day that already snapped off his main bean right behind his g-2 :yike:
-
I am pretty sure his 365 day governors tag probably ends very soon so if that is the case it's now or never. Great bull!
-
I am happy for him and to each there own but paying someone to find any animal of that caliber takes alot of the impressiveness out of the whole story. Having an elk tag that last a whole year? Imagine have one of those and knowing you could hunt the blues with a rifle at any time wherever you want. He only did what you would expect someone to do with those odds. As for the animals themselves, WOW. And no i am not jealous, if i had the money i still wouldnt, i like the hard work and thought that goes into it all way to much.,

I think his tag was from 2010, so he had until august of this year to kill one.

WOW What a hog .... that will make one dang nice mount ...cool lookin velvet too !
-
hey bucklucky, is it possible for a taxidermist to get the velvet off of the antlers and make them look like a normal set of antlers that have been rubbed free of the velvet?

Yup!, just costs $$ :chuckle:
