Title: Starting tips needed!
Post by: PrimeTimeShooter on July 25, 2011, 06:23:22 PM
Hey all,
I am fresh out of college come next week and I am excited to finally have a little time to get back into the woods and do some hunting. I found a nice area to hunt with some good bear sign in eastern WA, but I am brand new to bear hunting and was wondering if there were any tips I could get such as what time they are in open areas, where too look for them such as berry bushes, or possibly even a predator call? some advice for a beginner would be greatly appreciated!

Sneak in at early light.

Bring a padded seat, book, baseball cap, binoculars and patience.

Sit and listen, listen, listen. You will hear them feeding if they are near.

Move less, sit more and listen.
