Title: Interesting Info of the day.
Post by: addicted on July 25, 2011, 09:18:13 PM
I was dabbling in contemplation about short mag ballistics and looked around.

At 700 yards the 7mmwsm 160grn has 10% less drop than a 325wsm 200grn. That small difference surprised me so i thought "well then thats great because i'm sure the 325 has way more energy down range".....nope not really. At 700yards the 325 only has about 15% more energy than the 7wsm, thats pretty close considering it is a 25% heavier bullet.

All things considered, if I was considering buying one of these which i'm not, I might as well go with the 7mm for more reloading options since the other stats are so close.

Just some interesting info I put together in my boredom.
