Either one is good.  Could be pretty darn busy in both areas if the forest service doesnt open up the land in Manastash :bash: :bash:

Have you been in either area? If not, scout them both and figure out which one you like better. To each his own.  :twocents: If it were me, I would pick Manashtash

Either one can be good I've killed elk in both.  I prefer to hunt taneum just because that where I got my start in elk hunting.

I think either one will be good for as wet as it has been this summer. On dry years, I think it is better to hunt Taneum since you can get a little higher up in elevation where the feed is far more green and lush.  :twocents:

yeah we were up in taneum this weekend and scouted for a long time walked far in and spotted 2 big mulies on the binos from about a mile away. i've seen alot of elk in both areas just figuring out what would be easier to get an elk in.

I think he meant to say what unit would increase his odds of tagging an elk.

Where is it closed at cause we went petty far on the right road and got up pretty far, it was all green dot so we just kept driving but had to turn around because we were in a toyota camry  :chuckle: :chuckle: so we turned around were it flattens out.

Put a 10 inch lift kit on that Camry for elk season
