Title: 45 long colt

how the 45 for a deer cal I like the Idea of having
a hand gun and rifle of the same cal. what do you think.

For the revolver get the Ruger.  I have shot 3 deers with mine.  The reason for the Ruger is that you can use hot loads on them, like the Buffalo Bore ammo or roll your own.

:yeah:

45LC is great on Deer within the kill range of the cartridge.

I shot this bck at about 80 paces with a good ol' whitebox winchester in 44mag, which is just about par with the 45lc+p if not a touch less potent. the deer took a couple steps and flopped. I would never be afraid to thunder a buck, or a bull with a well placed 45lc.
