This guy is most likely not around anymore, not killed by a hunter, but old age. My buddy's grandma would take pics of him each year. He basically lived in her backyard here in Gig Harbor. We have a few pics of him. What a stud.

Does he have some sort of non-typ growth that goes around his horn base and his ear and run down his nose on the left side? He is a gorgeous buck for sure.
-
He has super long tines and some freakish eyegaurds. I'm still lookin, but we have an awesome side shot of him too.

Dream Blacktail right there!

Here's a side pic. He's actually a 6x6 if you count the huge double eyegaurds.

I don't suppose you have a forward shot. Man that is very unique and would be an awesome trophy.

Hey Miles...good to see you aren't speaking German yet. No Maine for me....fingers crossed for NH!

We have piles of pictures from film, I just figured out our scanner yesterday, I'll keep an eye out for more of that buck, not sure what we got though.

Looking forward to them. I'm about to start a thread and he would be a star in it. Watch for it......"eye guards"

Crazy how Blackies can be runnin' around like that in Gig Harbor of all places. Awesome buck!
-
Ironically, Gig Harbor used to be known for some of the biggest and most concentrated areas for black bears too. Most likely not now though. Ive lived here my whole life and have seen some bears, including a 19 1/8" bear my dad killed here. Nowadays, any available piece of dirt has a house shoved on it.
