What's the better few hours, morning or evening?
-
Im no expert, but the majority I have seen where in the morning hours, but then again thats the time Im out more than not. :dunno:

I have always hunted the Evening for bear.....Got a few by dumb luck in the mornings....but usually I focus targeting them in the evening...especially now that calling is my main way of hunting them.....
-
thats a dang good question ... I have shot bears up high in August when its been in the 90's but its been near water and right in the middle of the day ...now come September when I prefer to bear hunt it is good all day long ... when blueberries are ripe they are nothen but eaten machines ...I would say just hunt

I'd have to agree, mornings in August. All day in Sept. I'd still hunt all day in August, though...

shot them at all times, but I like mornings for me...I really like when the thermals warm and move my scent up a drainage if Im in already in there during hot weather...
-
I like evening hunts (3 pm-ish on to dusk)...probably cause I dont like having to wake up a 330 am to beat the sunrise...
I've had lots of luck in the morning, I just prefer evenings. Im a night owl anyway.

I've killed more in the evenings but have seen plenty in the AM too. I might have killed more in evening because I'm able to hunt the evenings all week long.
