Well where do I start, 2011 has been one heck of a year with the wife returning after a year deployment and then getting stationed in Texas. Me attending a bunch of taxidermy schools, and the Saminator getting through her terrible twos. I have driven 2 Texas twice this year so far. Flown to 5 different states. So it has been one hell of a ride, the only thing I regret is not being able to get a little more fishing in.
I have been for the last 6 months deciding wether to keep the business open or shut it down. The wife and I have gone over several scenerios on what we should do. We have decided to keep it open and see where it goes from here. Last year I got in quite a few customers, And I closed the doors around Dec so I would not get over my turn around time.
I have not posted a lot of pictures in a while because was still deciding what to do. I will get some pictures up soon, I am not going to take a bunch of individual pictures of each animal, and clutter up the board, will just do some group pictures. You are more than welcome to go through the threads and look at some of the previous work I have done.
I will close the doors again around Dec so I can take that month off and enjoy my family and do some hunting down in Texas.
My prices will stay the same as they have been since 2008.
450.00 per deer
750.00 per elk.
But on bears I am going to go from 140.00 a foot to 160.00.
I have a strict one year turn around, if I go over that by more than 30 days I will give a 10% discount back to the customer. I do not require any money down nor any money along the way. I like to get paid at the end of the game.
Enjoy your year of hunting, best of luck to all of you. I will be hopefully getting lucky in Montana for deer and elk this year myself.

Great write-up Joe; hopefully I will be bringing you a few animals this year after hunting here in Hawaii and back home.

Joe, glad your sticking with it. Now get started on those fish, so you can do my 20 pound Walleye I'm going to catch in my new boat. :chuckle:

Thanks everyone for all the encouraging words, I love doing it.
Only reason why I was not going to this year is because with momma down in Texas for the next 2-3 years it makes it hard to travel back and forth all the time. Kind of eats up the profits real quick.

Great to hear you're sticking with it!! Sorry to hear your wife has been so far away..... I bet that makes for a hard time at home. I wouldn't have brought my son's buck to just anyone, it is his first mount. I was looking for someone I could trust, like their work, and build a relationship with for future work. Thanks for taking the time to do this for him...can't wait to see it! I hope to bring many more to you in the years to come.......if I can shoot anything worth putting on the wall. :dunno:
