Title: New Decoys for Chicken Killers
Post by: buckcanyonlodge on August 08, 2011, 11:10:31 AM: I had coyotes coming in my yard during the middle of the day--when I was outside!--- and killing my chickens. After a couple unsuccessful attempts calling, I put up a tree stand along an access road I was sure he was coming in on. I put two Royal Copley ceramic chickens in the road ,climbed the tree stand, and waited. An hour and a half went by and I saw movement through the trees and saw the yote come onto the road. He saw the chickens and went into a crouch/stalk mode. 7 mag at 35 yds. End of Chicken killer.That's what you get when you dine on Col. Wakefield's chicken.
