Anyone us a Montana Decoy? if so did it work well.
-
I do occasionally. I once had a cow charge it. Another time, an idiot archer shot it, in the ass no less. Nice shot at a stationary target from about 20 yards! I think they can work well when used with moderate calling.

Used broadside cow during bow. With friends calling/bugling we were able to bring back a nice bull that had previously ran off. He was pretty excited to do something when he came back. WHACK! :archer:

Sweet guys thanks for the info. Got a cow moose coming for my selkirk hunt.

Used to use them for stand hunting for whitetails during the rut. Used both the doe and buck decoys.
Had quite a few bucks come into them. Scent control of decoys was important. I tied a white rag to the tail and put on doe in heat lure and tied a fishing line to the rag and would move the white rag. Movement helped, or seemed to, bring in more wary bucks.Washed in unscented soap and handled with latex gloves.
