I have never hunted there, but you may want to change your approach on how you get information on this website.  Most people that know the area arent going to help someone that is going to be competing with them out in the woods.  Good luck to you and I hope you find some information.

I'd utilize the search tool on this forum and read past posts. You would be amazed how much you will learn by doing your own research first. :twocents: Pretty gutsy to ask for help in only your first few posts.

First of all welcome to the forum I think most appreciate your eagerness to get a bear, but to be honest most arent going the be that excited about pointing the way to the new guy if you get my drift.  Spend some time reading on here help a few others out you may find you get out as much as you put in here.  As far as Dayton goes nice area if it were me I would put some boots on the ground, and do some preseason scouting if you see a bear in the process then great if not than you arent wasting your time.  I think you will find most people on here that are successful year after year harvesting any given species have spent more time on the ground, and less on the internet.  Please dont let a little gruffness get to you this is a great site stick around awhile there are some real knowledgeable folks on here you just have put your time in, and pay attention to what your reading there are some real gems of knowledge given away here often.
