Title: Need some help
Post by: RidgeRunner_07 on August 11, 2011, 01:46:08 PM
So after a change in plans I need to change my deer tag to from Modern firearm to black powder...How or can I do this? These game regs are about zero assistance.

The dealer can do it but it requires some work on their part, may not be very eager. I think you can also go to a WDFW office and take care of it in person.

Good luck.  Had to do it last year because a guy hit the wrong button when issuing PathfinderJR his elk tag.  We realized it a couple of hours later and the guy fixed it, but it was a pain in the a$$ and it took a while.  I think it required him to call Olympia too if I remember correctly...

:bash: :bash:  Tried the dealer...gonna take some serious convincing. They just told me to go to the regional office in Spokane. 90 miles one way to change a tag...something has got to give in this state...passes to drive on woods roads, spike only,4 point min on Whiteys, no hounds... Whats next..lol

If you applied for special hunts, you cannot exchange your tag.
