Saw lots of guys out on the Snohomish and lower Sky today. Anybody dragging any pinks in on today's opener. Looking forward to getting a report.

Gonna be a little while before the Snohomish system gets rolling good.  If you want to get into good numbers now run up to the Skagit.

Did here the skagit is doing really good now that its all open.  I would wait for another couple of weeks for the SNOHO and sky.

I second whats been said already. They are killing them on the Skagit. About 10 more days and the Snoho will be jumping. I hope it's picked up out in the sound. I'm going with Cap.Silver tomorrow, I'll post a report.

Do most of you guys launch a boat at Lowell or Langus for the Snohomish.  I was looking at Google Maps and the Port of Everett ramp seemed like it might be an option since there are lots of ramps there.  All I know is that I've watched the ramp in Snohomish during pink season and I don't think I've got the guts to put in there.

1 more thing.  Everyone be careful out there.  Last year I watched a guy out on one side of the river in a camo float tube wearing nothing but camo.  I thought that was bad enough until he started to flipper across the river :yike:.  When he got into the middle of the river I could not hardly spot the guy as he blended in with the bank on the other side.  I was honestly scared for the guy.  Sleds flying by him along with jet skies.

There is a nice launch at lowell.  When fishing the lower snohomish I usually would be fishing an hour before high tide.  The fish ride the high tide in and the fishing turns on for a couple hours.  There will always be fish around but thats when you hit the big schools. Pink feathered jig is my fav

Did a little scouting up and down the river tonight to see what was being caught. Fished the lower snohomish for a few hours with one small trout and that was it. Was amazed how may seals were moving up the river tonight. I checked six or seven different spots and less than a handful had been caught. I did hear that they smacked the pinks pretty good this morning right at first light on the high water. Ran up by the prison and did not see very many rolling or being caught either. The anticipation was getting to me and just couldn't stay sittin at home. Thanks for the reports guys!!

Buddy caught 3 this morning. So I had to go try my luck, ended up losing 2 and all of my line thanks to that damn river seal :bash:. Oh well I'm going back out tomorrow morning to try again.

Yeah I agree - a bit early for the Sno yet. By the end of the month there should be enough fish to be worth dealing with crowds but I dont know about right now. I may try the bank later this week/weekend  :dunno:  my friend at work got a couple yesterday up by Kenwanda GC area. Pretty high up there for this early if you ask me. They were plunking with shrimp. I normally launch at Lowell but Langus is nice too and not that far of a run up the river.
