Found this young billy this weekend. He was desperately trying to avoid the flies. I got about 2 dozen mosquito bites while photographing him, but at least I got some good pictures.

Am I going to hear about how dangerous goats are every time I post a picture now? I am honestly not scared of goats at all, especially in units where they are hunted like the Mt Baker area.
It is important to be able to read the body language of goats. The goat that killed the hiker in ONP was a dominant Billy shortly before the rut. As long as you aren't moving directly into a goats "discomfort" zone you will be fine. Especially with young billies and nannies. Goats coming to lick your urine or backpacks are not being aggressive, they are just looking for needed minerals.
