Title: goat hunting
Post by: jason moore on August 23, 2011, 08:13:33 PM
I drew the mountain goat raffle tag. I am heading to the goat rocks. Anyone have any suggestions on a specific area. I will probably head towards goat lake and Johson peak.

Is that valid in any open goat area?

No, it has to have 2 or more tags. I only have 3 units to choose from but I only live 1 1/2 hours from the goat rocks.

I drew that tag 2 yrs ago.  PM me and I'll tell you what I found.  Killed an ancient nanny I thought was a billie-  Something like 12-14 yrs old on the short horn, 16 rings on the other.  Saw tons of goats (50+ per day)

Should be a good place.  I've been rounding up maps of the spot and planning on going in there to photograph.   I misse dit this year with the big snowpack and now I'm pressed for time elsewhere.   If I make it in there I'll let you know.
