If so what do you think of it?
What size bullets are you using on it?
Thanks

My dad bought me one for my first rifle when i was 10. Killed quite a few deer with it, its really light and reliable. We use 125gr nosler partition. 4350 IMR at 42gr. I would suggest it.

Sounds like a plan, I just picked one up from a guy that needed the cash, so got another caliber for 300.00 with a leupold scope. One more for the safe.

I have one in the mountain rifle, stainless barrel and action with the laminate stock. It is a very good gun, I handload with the 140 grain SST's but am thinking of dropping down to the 125 Partitions. Very light recoil and lightweight gun.

I own several, I have been shooting 130gr Nosler accubonds, for big game. I have shot everything from Elk to Coyote, with my 260, Low recoil, light rifles and very accurate esp. further down range.

great caliber, if you dont like it i know a guy that has been looking for one

thanks everyone for the advice.
I don't have any dies for a 260, looks like will have to get some. Right now just going to play with it a little and see how the girl shoots.

I know a guy that just got one, he likes it but isn't getting real good groups yet. He had 140 gr factory ammo. His groups are about 1 1/4 and hge would prefer under 1 inch.

.25 moa can be made up in a lot of places. For s&g try a lighter bullet, 140's are way long.

Thanks, I had the same guy sight in my 257 a week ago (I don't shoot as well as I used to) and he shot less than a .75 group, so he can shoot, I will pass along your advice. I think that was all he could get at the store at the time, but I think he plans to reload so there will be more options.

I have a .260rem 700 MTN rifle.. It is my favorite cartridge! Deer and elk hate it!!!!! I prefer 140NP's and 140AB's as elk is on the menu every year!!! H4350 and Hunter both shoot excellent..

My son has one and we have both shot deer with it all one shot smack downs . I just shoot fedral premiums in 140 throphy bonded and couldn't be happier with them . It's a model seven youth and makes a great lil pack gun .

I'm having one built for me right now. I had an old 700 ADL in .243 that I wasn't using so I'm having a Shilen #4 SS Select Match barrel installed. I was going to have a Jewell trigger but decided to have Neil Jones do a trigger job on the original Remington trigger. Action will be fully blueprinted. Everything glass and pillar bedded and I'm putting a Leupold VX-III 4.5-14 side focus, long range scope on it. I would like to use either the Berger 130 VLD hunting bullet or the Nosler 125 gr. Partition. I can't wait!

That sounds sweet !

I've used the 120 BT on two antelope. The first was a hard quartering away shot, and really made a mess. The second was a broadside on my buck and it performed perfectly. I doubt I will use the BT again. I also shot a doe with the 123gr Sierra Matchking. Nothing spectaculare but it worked. I've also developed a load with the 130 Accubond, good accuracy. Gutpile has used his .260 a bunch more than me, and has settled on the 130 AB, although his daughter used a 100gr Part. on her doe last year.
