okay how does 15x15x36 sound for fox and coons? and 10x18x36 for cats and fox? i still have no clue what size to build the

Check out the post on 'swim through beaver trap' for some ideas.  I have one and it has worked well. I can't remember the exact size, maybe 12"x12"x36"  or  14"x14"x36".   When you set it, try to place it completely underwater for a drowning set (more humane and minimizes fur damage).
